Hexaflumuron™ impacts termites by inhibiting their molting process. Termites are crushed when they go through a growth spurt called molting. Their existing shell or exoskeleton becomes too small for their new body size.
This “chitin synthesis inhibitor” process depletes the number of colony members very rapidly. This science has no mammalian toxic properties. The termite remain unaware of the cause of their colony demise and eventually the termite colony cannot sustain itself.
